Blue Sky Weekender

A Summer Appreciation Experience
Sometimes the best employee gift isn't another item—it's a reason to slow down.

Blue Sky created the Weekender as a summer appreciation program designed to encourage employees to step away from work, spend time with the people they care about, and enjoy the season. Built around the theme "Here's to a Great Summer," the experience combined thoughtful merchandise with activities that invited participation long after the box was opened.
THE PROGRAM

The goal was simple: create a shared summer experience for employees across the company.

Each Weekender included a custom guide filled with seasonal activities, a summer bucket list, a photo challenge, and invitations to participate in company-wide moments. The program encouraged employees to create memories, share experiences, and reconnect with the people and places that matter most.

THE SOLUTION

Blue Sky developed the Weekender from concept through fulfillment, creating a cohesive experience that connected physical gifts, printed materials, and employee engagement activities.

The custom Weekender guide became the centerpiece of the program, driving participation through a summer photo challenge and a company-wide social sharing initiative that celebrated favorite summer moments from across the team.

Summer Photo Challenge
Employees shared favorite summer moments for a company-wide celebration and prize drawing.
20 Summer Activities
A custom bucket list encouraged employees to unplug, explore, and make time for what matters most.
Beyond the Box
The experience extended through seasonal activities and a summer happy hour that brought employees together.
My son immediately claimed the speaker, my wife stole the towel, and somehow I ended up making margaritas on the patio. I'd call that a successful Weekender.
